I couldn’t resist turning this print into a Fine Art print! This was taken in Cape May, NJ – The Nation’s Oldest Seashore Resort.
So, I have the opportunity to go to Washington, D.C this May and document a monumentous event! The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund each year hosts numerous celebrations during Police Week, to honor Officers who lost their lives in the line of duty during the previous year. They have a week of celebration and reflection, kicked off by the arrival of the Police Unity Tour riders.
The Police Unity Tour is a collection of active and reitred Law Enforcement Officers and Officer’s survivors, who ride their bicycles over a period of 3-4 days from various regional locations and ending in Washington, D.C.
Each year, on the eve the riders arrive in town, they hold a candle-light vigil to honor the lost, and remember the perils that Law Enforcement Officers face on a daily basis.
I hope to share some of my experiences when I return!
While we were out and about taking photos on an overcast day, Miss G, as I like to call her became fast friends with the local ducks. As they charged me, while shooting this photo, she giggled and squealed. I am always glad to provide entertainment for the kiddos.
